I'll be showing work this Friday on both coasts. Here in Burlington, VT there will be an opening for "Decked-Out". A Burton board graphics showcase (with a Warhol twist, more on that soon). I did a massive piece for the gallery windows, a poster and tee design that will be screenprinted during the opening. Also, in LA, ROJO and Smart Car will be hosting a rad event to launch the Fortwo Project that I am a part of. Check Rojo for more info and to RSVP. I'll have a ton of pics to share this weekend after the openings.
My good friend Nate Williams from Argentina commissioned me to do this tattoo design for his arm. It is his 1-year-old son Milo's handprint with a wild "one-line" script. Nate is a great guy and amazing artist! Definitely check out his work. Also check IllustrationMundo.com, a mega-portal he founded for illustrators and international art news.
I designed this tee for Poketo last winter while I was in B&W mode. I also did two hyper-color wallets that can still be purchased at Poketo's online store and in fly boutiques across the globe. The tee turned out great! Top-notch tee quality and silver ink. Thanks Ted and Angie!
On November 2nd ROJO and Smart Car will be hosting a great night of art, music and innovation at the Smart House in LA. I will have art on display and also be featured in the Smart Fortwo Book that will be available at the event. Smart is making serious moves in the right direction - MSNBC Article. I am honored to be a part of this project. RSVP info here.
My friend Darren from LCS just launched Hireanillustrator.com. A great new platform for commercial artists, and a simple resource for agency folk to scout international talent. You can search by subject, style, medium and location. A bunch of talented artists are already onboard. Check it out.
The homie Sirky had me paint this mural on his shed on Saturday. I started at about 4:30 and painted most of it in the dark with the help of his truck's high-beams. Good times! I can't wait to see how it looks this winter surrounded by snow. Click-Zoom.
BumpHiphop.com is a new site that features rap news, reviews, videos and interviews. I was commissioned to do these section banners. BumpHiphop.com has a great business model and a solid team, I look forward to watching them grow and gain momentum. Check it out and bookmark that shizzle.
I'm currently showing a bunch of canvas work in the Burton Syndicate Gallery. And next month I will be featured in a show called "Decked-Out" at The Firehouse Gallery in downtown Burlington, VT. The show will celebrate the history of snowboard graphics and the artists that created them. Opening on November 2nd. More news soon.
Just got a copy of the ZoomZoom Magazine that I did the cover for earlier this summer. The photo doesn't do it justice, everything that looks white in the photo is actually a shiny metallic-silver spot color. Big up to "Indoor Surfing Challenges". Being alive in 2007 rules!
